Is it a metaphor or just a disturbing fascination with relics of the past? I'm not sure but I think there's something to be learn't from clothes, and furniture that survives, over the years, to tell it's story, or snippets of a story to people today.
I like collecting odd and unusual clothes and furniture because I don't see many other people doing it and I think if we aren't careful the lessons about common sense and the chage in values that has shaped our society might just be lost... ah yes and I really like dressing up too....that's not a problem is it?
